Im currently using foam shiner buckets to store/transport trotlines. I am looking for ideas to give more space in the boat. Thinking of wrapping it around a section of pool noodle. Any other ideas out there?
If it makes a track on this earth , I can catch it.

Here. This pic is from Buzz but I'm guessing Matt sent him these or gave him the blue print. The slits were for the line not the hooks. Then you can pre bait the box if I remember right. I forgot about them nesting ontop of eachother with a trim piece on the bottom. https://trapperman.com/forum/ubbthreads....up_#Post4712818

Our boxes are similar except that there is a 2" hole cut in the center of the bottom. This allows the box to be set on a pedestal at the rear of the boat. When under low speed, throw the anchor weight and float out and the lines will start to "jump" out of the box. As one side of the hooks is deployed turn the box to the next side until they are all deployed. Clip your end anchor weight on and you're done.
With some practice, it takes less than a minute to set a 100 hook line. This is a commercial set up. Typicall we're baiting with worms, crawfish, or grasshoppers. It won't work if you're using live bait such as gold fish or bluegill. I'd suggest using the bucket setup with clips on a drop line for live bait.
The time-consuming part of the jump box setup is re-racking the lines the next day. The main line has to be coiled up correctly and in sequence with the hooks. Putting them out is the easy part.
