Awesome picture and awesome amount of work! I think I counted 87? All those spots kinda blend together! Great job, and I hope to meet you at the NTA!

Ditchdiver, yep... 87. There were a couple more ripped up by coyotes, a few more mangled by buzzards in my snares (tough to skin mangled) and a few more sold whole to taxidermists because south Texas bobcats often look like Ocelots, so I am just shy of 100 right now. 96 I think. I should go over 100 as I have one more ranch to trap in July but not sure I can save kitties in 100+ heat and skin them. By the time I kill them and run them back to the meat coolers, it might be possible. I'll certainly try and do it. You know, cats always have spots... the backs get real weak in the spring and summer, but I can't throw a cat in the "pit". Just can't do it. I skin everyone of 'em I can. The lady who sends me CITIES tags from the game commission says I'm the "only" trapper in Texas who asks for them in the "warm" months. I guess others toss them. What a waste! Boco, yep there were about 350 raccoons, just under 200 coyotes, 75 grey fox or so, a few skunks, possums, porcupines, a mountain lion, etc. caught along the way. About 700 animals total but I only skinned the cream of the coyotes (Nebraska) this year. I trap alone except when Rusty Johnson joins me on one ranch, so the work is rugged for this dude I promise you. No partying here.... I work my butt off

So what does a skinned July South-Tex cat go for? $20?

Terrific job congratulations. I'm jealous in the fact that we are only allowed 5 here. Seems a guy is just getting homed in so to speak with 5 and then your done. You certainly are homed in!

Carolina Foxer,
I have a contact who buys all the cats I tan. I think they end up on the east coast during reenactment festivals. I do pretty well on them actually. And Great Northern Fur is outstanding in the work the do as far as tanning and price!
