We have been shooting a lot here lately. He shot 600 registered targets last week and finished 4 on Wednesday in singles. We have the state shoot tomorrow for school and then Illinois the last of July

Good luck. Our High school state shoot was last weekend. It was a great time. Was told 3 years ago there where 90 kids in it. There was over 800 this year. Really growing. I heard on the radio that Michigan had 8000 kids shoot in there state contest. That’s one more way to beat back the gun haters. I talked to lots of parents that had never shot a gun and had a kid there. Maybe guns aren’t so scary after all!! My freshman son was in 4th after the first set; 48 out of 50, and then had problems one the second. Ended up with a 93 out of 100. Great time

SO many lesson can be learned in the shooting disciplines well worth the time and money. I fear the lack of the ability of some of these generations to defend this nation if it ever came down to it.

Thanks Pawnee, My son is just a freshman he shot a 96 on his first round and then 91 on handicap. Then on day 2 was a 95 on 2nd round of singles. Then doubles was a different story he had never shot it before and ended up with a 68. Then weekend shoot we went to was a 200 bird 1st round was a 96 then 6 hours later was when we shot our last 100 with a storm coming in and fighting darkness he pulled out a 90.

Our state high school shoot has grown huge! Dont remember the numbers right off hand. I shot two years in high school and my Sr year I ended up 11th in the state from the 16yd line. I have never heard of an accident at a shoot that size.

The sub Jrs and Jrs in NE shoot some fantastic scores most of them would win big in other states the competition is tough!
