15 Years ago tonight my son and I were camped on the Anderson River in Alaska. Just about got dragged out of the tent by mosquitoes. Quite a few of them wound up as meat in our macaroni and cheese.

22 years ago, I spent a surreal summer solstice in a remote part of Alaska. Found salmon all the way up a trickle about a foot wide and 4 inches deep. Found a fresh bear kill and snuck away. The next morning I had the best grayling fishing of my life. Great adventure.

Born on the solstice, which is the shortest day of the year. I tell my family I probably was born at night but not last night! lol.
