How much money do you spend on fireworks for the 4th of July? And yes I know it all goes up in smoke.

I allow kids 40$ apiece. Makes them shop harder tho..

Probably $100-$150. But I have a big family and we all get together and cook out and shoot fireworks so by the time everyone bring some, we end up with a big show

past few years $40-$50 but the good ones are banned in my county because of the droughts. That doesn't stop the neighbors from shooting the good ones. We would buy the good ones but with the unpredictable grumpy neighbor we won't take the chance of the $500 fine.

i can see a 20,000 dollar show off my deck and thats it.we do donate 50 to it every year though so i guess 50.

I don't buy any fireworks. We do go over to some friends' house, who live by a park, that the city puts on a really good show at each year. It's a good time. We grill out, eat a lot, walk over to the park, watch the fireworks and go back and have a bonfire. There are usually the same 20 some people there every year, plus a few less frequent or new ones.

When I had a security company, we did security for a large 4th of July festival. Our staff on payroll would triple for the event. We would confiscate thousands of fireworks and light them off on the last night of the festival, with around 20 police officers who worked for me too. We would also finish off all the beer left in the beer trucks. That party typically lasted to sunrise and got pretty wild.

Now a days zero,,,,back in the 50's when I was a kid...$20....gas was 20 cents a gallon then,,do the math in today's $$$$

$0-$20 depending on how rich and or patriotic I'm feeling.

We are the land of the free in name only for a lot of things. It is illegal to possess fireworks where I’m at. So put me down as a $0.

I will go watch them at our state capital.

We quit doing our 4th party 2 years ago. We did it for our grandkids, and had fun. As they started to become teens, thier attitude changed. It seemed to my wife and I that they acted like we owed it to them. They quit helping with cleanup, and we quit supplying the fireworks. It is fun, but everyone needs to help, so no more here. We were spending too much anyway, which now goes to other activities. Fishing, new boat, guns etc...

Fireworks were fun as a kid. Not so much now.

We go to a 4th band concert with fireworks after. We donate some to this civic event other than that I spend zip on fireworks, I had plenty of live round action in the past so I don't feel the need to buy any now.
