Does anyone have an idea what the name of this plant is from this leave arrangement? It is about 3 feet tall and seems to have/had started some sort of berry maybe raspberry type of looking type of berry.

Not sure if it grows in your area, but if I saw that plant growing on my place, I would call it poison ivy.

I don't believe it is poison ivy I picked it this early morning and I'm sure I would had had some sign by now if it was. Isn't wild raspberry very close in resemblance with ivy? It appeared to have some sort of berry like a raspberry arrangement so that is why I asked.

Try Rhus aromatica - Aromatic sumac. It has clusters of fuzzy red berries that I suppose could be described as raspberry-like. It's in the cashew family just like poison ivy, but almost nobody reacts to it. The fruit can be used to make a sort of tea, but you should make sure my ID is correct before you try that. The internet isn't the best place to get accurate botanical determinations. It has been 24 hours and nothing yet so maybe I got lucky. LOL We have poison ivy here but it isn't something yo see often and yes I should not of touched it. I would have to agree that is maybe poison oak and not poison ivy if that is the case. The ivy I have seen here has a very shinny appearance so I didn't think about it. The three leave and arrangement of them does fit. Time will tell.

Thanks everyone and jht has it right and thanks gwm for your experience with it. Aromatic sumac is exactly what it looks like and it has a smell. Thanks
