Ive been putting up my own fur for about 3 or 4 years now and want to take my experience to the next level. I was wondering if there was anyone near cambria county pa that would be willing to let me see how they put up there own fur? It wou;d be greatly appreciated and wouldnt mind driving a few hours.

Each species has its own peculiarities when it comes to proper handling.
Rule of thumb is to remove all fat and only enough flesh to allow timely drying of the entire pelt before spoilage.
There are many different techniques that will produce the desired results.
Watching a seasoned fur handler will cut down the learning curve tremendously.

Each season, I help a few guys get started with their furs or to brush up on their methods. I offer to visit my fur shed for a 'How-To' session. Skun'n, flesh'n, board'n & dry'n to marketing fur. Maybe a bit too far, but live in Snyder County. Stop in.

I'd contact the PATrapperAssn Director for your district for some names and numbers if it was me.
Also, the huntingPA forum has many trappers too!
