Just over a gallon of black raspberries tonight just before dark. Picked just over a quart on Monday night. I let them ripen a bit and what a difference a day or so can make.

1st on the list, A large bowl of fresh chilled cream over raspberries and a touch of sugar.

2nd on the list Raspberry cobbler until I cant eat anymore.

I hate you people. We don't have those around here. I guess I shouldn't have moved down here.
Hate is a strong word for someone that I don't know, but man I sure do miss those!!

I will probably get my last picking this morning the deer and I fought over them this year only have a few vines the deer won. I do have enough for a few jars of jam my favorite wild fruit.

The fruit growth here in Michigan is doing 130% this year.

Estimations for cherries are 241 million pounds.

All my fruit trees that bloomed, have fruit coming on. I haven't seen that in years.

I will be checking out the blackberries soon.

I picked 5 lbs Tuesday evening and made a couple more big batches of jam. The last batch got a chocolate scorpion pepper added in for a unique sweet and spicy touch. Initial taste test was met with approval.

We haven't had significant rain here in over a month. Our blueberries are gonna suck this year. And coming off last year where the berries were thick and huge

Tonight is the 3rd time we've picked and we picked another 2 1/2 gallons again. That's between the wife, our two boys and myself. Plus my aunt and uncle went with us again and picked about a gallon and a half.

Hmmm, Tazewell, VA. Might have to visit the western part of the state...
Did you say that they were ready to pick yet? Just curious, that's all...
You don't have any loose running around yard dogs do you?

Picked another half gallon early this morning. Got some biscuit mix last nite so the cobbler will be on for this evening after running some traps this morning.

Darn daddy long legs and slugs are competing for my berries more and more the last few days.
