I took the wife's Jeep in for a repair quote we though it had some damage but the guy came back with $6,275.00 repair estimate! Nothing big just a ton of little dings. The guy was putting magnets on the dings and multiplying by the size of the panels. On one rear quarter panel (not big on a Compass) he had 48 magnets on that before the math.
2016 Jeep Compass with low miles I told her to give the check to the finance company and keep the Jeep until it falls apart that check is about 1/2 of what she owes on it. The repairs included the roof panel being replaced and I don't want that spliced into the body it sounds like trouble from the start.

Rapid City got hammered way more then we did, whole windshields turned white and the guy said another local guy had a new F150 that was hammered on all sides from the storm that got us.

I have never seen hail that was that bad Law Dog. That just sucks when it hails. I can't think of one good thing it does.

When I was in high school I worked or washing cars at the local stealership. A large storm left almost every car on the lot dented. Boss told me the insurance adjuster was coming so I got busy washing cars. A few hours later the boss was horrified to see the cars I had washed where almost as good as new. Seem if you leave a hail damaged car out in the hot sun for a few hours before giving it a cold bath will cause the dents to pop back out. Since then I've seen guys use ice cubes or liquid nitrogen to remove dents. Couldn't hurt to give it a try.
Common sense is a not a vegetable that does well in everyone's garden.

We got a deal on a new Silverado in Spearfish that had been in a hailstorm. Can't see the dents at all.
Life ain't supposed to be easy.
