We need some new threads, so here's one to talk about k9's.

Here is my setup:

I like to be able to carry everything on me I need to make a set, but I use a 4-wheeler to travel from set to set.
One bucket holds traps, the other holds sifted and dried peat moss. One bag is for lure/bait, one is for tools, and one is for gloves and anything else I need.

This is one of my standard traps.

I run 1 3/4 bridgers, 550s, bridger dogless #2s, and K9 extreme Jrs. Mainly I use duckbill earth anchors but I will use drags when I can't drive an anchor in.

Here is what most of my sets look like.

Occasionally in deep snow I will set a hay set too. Most of the time I set double sets and every once in a while I will set a triple.
I know there are some K9 trappers on here, lets see your set ups and your variations of sets.

I dont have any pics, but for my set up I have a 5 gallon bucket inside of a Andy Weiser land trapping bag to keep a couple of traps, steaks, waxed dirt, hammer, and a mouse hole maker, and have my bait/lure and insulation to put under the pans of my traps.
I get to my sets on a 4-wheeler and have a toolbox to keep my extra traps, stakes, ect. in.
Before I got my new traps a week or so ago I ran MB450's for coyotes, cats, and fox. This coming year I will be running MJ600's.
Usually for my sets I use dirthole sets, trash sets, t-bone set, last year I tried a compass set and caught a couple of coyotes off of it. At the edge of a bean field or corn field I will set a double occasionally, but on one I will use one bait and on the next one I will use another one.

I will get pictures of one of a couple of my traps and my set up on here in a little bit.

What kind of lures and baits do you use K-9 Trapper?

I use all kinds of stuff. Mainly Dobbin's lures, but I like a variety. I make all of my own baits out of venison scraps, woodchuck, beaver, muskrat, and mice. I do make some of my own lure that I usually pair with a commercial lure when I set.

I trap with my dad most of the time. He uses a variety of lures and baits. We usually rotate every week or so the type of bait we use so the coyotes don't get too used to it so we can use it year after year.

I wish could post pics. My traps are all mb 450s and 550s, with a wolf fang chain stake attached to them. My sets are either dirt holes or flat sets, and I usually put one of each at a location. I use a lot of lures, and I found out that dobbins Backbreaker makes a great curiosity lure. On my flat sets, I usually use curiosity lures or urine/gland lure combo. All of my dirt holes have bait in them. I use a four wheeler to check all my sets and drive it to different locations on a trailer. Thanks for the new thread. by the way, will any one here be at the NTA this year?

I post pics with a website called imgur. It's just like photobucket but free. Where is the NTA convention suposed to be next year, I've never been to it.

Spring field might be a little too far for me. The one at the end of this month is in Escanaba. If you’ve never been to one, I highly recommend you check it out.

I have a couples buckets on the truck with traps, a couple buckets of wax dirt, a bucket with my tools, underalls, kneeling pad, ogormans dirt bag (highly recommend, absolutely best way to take dirt to and from sets I've found), a bag with lure and urine, and a bucket with snare supplies. When I get to the spot I want to set I just grab a couple traps, my set bucket and lure bag.

MB 550s aren't cheap but absolutely awesome traps. A few years back they'd come from the factory with the pan tension a little on the heavy side for my taste, but they seem to have fixed that issue.
