I have or have had Scnees, Kenetrek, Danner, and a couple others but the last pair I tried, that are holding up better than any of the others by a long shot, are La Sportivas.

I have had a lot of leather boots in the last 50 yrs of mostly grouse hunting mtns of PA and I think sometimes they dont get the gortex bootie in there right and after a little abuse it fails. Only takes kicking 1 porky or thorn or some other small pointy object and u got a leak!
