Establish and Maintain a healthy relationship with your local Wildlife and Fisheries Agents !! Donít wait for them to yell HEEL!

Get Very Familiar with the laws; if you donít agree with a law, do your part to get it changed, but be sure you ollow it until it is changed.

Get to know your target critters.

Work Hard, Be Honest, and donít quit until you have solved their problem, and youíll have most of the ingredients needed for success no matter what state youíre in.

**************

I actually got a good laugh just now when I said what I did about heeling, and I needed that. One day Iíll be laughing about everything now, but for the time being, itís still to be taken seriously. A very influential mentor of mine named Billy who has been a Marine Drill Sgt, Game Warden, and College Professor in his lifetime once said ď____ _______ __, Jeff, HEEL!Ē

I got the point. Itís a powerful word.

Good luck Nathan

I agree with everything Aix sponsa had to say.

Below are links to some of the information I found on the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation web-site- https://www.wildlifedepartment.com/. I donít know if the information is still current; contact one of your county game wardens with your questions.

Thatís something that people from your state would probably need to answer. I suggest talking to someone with your stateís wildlife and fisheries about additional information and resources, and Iím not just talking about the enforcement division. Bring a list of questions that youíd like to have answered. Iíd also ask them for recommendations for getting started, and if is anything related to regulations, I highly recommend you note what the revised statute is, who it is that you spoke with and the date. Thatís just for your records, and if you ever need it, youíll have it so that you can reviewó-and help keep you from having to go ask the same question twice, etc

I would think that if you wanted to handle bat calls, there is probably some sort of bat handling course that would be beneficial to you, even if it isnít required by law.
