Only the POTUS is allowed to tell us or tweet what fake news is..Everyone else is just not smart enough to figure it out.. Come one people it's all crap! It became fake when it went 24 hr looped and for entertainment not information. Add all the slanted mouth piece, blow hards and it's all crap!
About all you can believe is the local news now days. Where ya already know the story before it's reported because you saw it happen.

Creative editing of what was actually said, to change the meaning of what was actually said, to convince people who don't watch what was originally said, to follow the left, is most of the fake news.

If the POTUS had used the term "biased" it would have been more accurate and acceptable. How come almost all the TV networks seem to be "left" and maybe only FOX is on the right? Could they all be that biased? Maybe they aren't. They do all get suckered into the Days Of Our Lives soap box reporting though on crap that doesn't even matter. Unfortunately twitter messages tend to make everything matter when it shouldn't.

The word "fake" is not the issue here. We deal with all kinds of fake stuff in many aspects of our lives every day. It is the word "news" that is the real issue here. In a world that values spin more than fact or politics over science why would we even think we would get news without there being a huge bent to it? A leaning I can handle but a 90 degree or a 180 is not what I would call news. Many of us fought for our 1st amendment rights I just did not fully understand that it was put out for bid by the highest bidders when I did fight for that right.

The mainstream media is owned and controlled by the wannabe new world order globalist government. They do not care about the United States and Trump has ruined their plans. They get their talking point every morning at 4 a.m. (so I have heard) and they all get the same message. They change the phrases a little so it doesn't look exactly the same..but.. it is exactly the same. We all know this has been the case for a long time. The last administration could do no wrong. This one can do no good.

If you would like to see for yourself you can research it in open source. These folks will welcome all patriots. https://qanon.pub/ WWG1WGA

The news is definitely slanted and spun based upon the news network’s leanings. It’s sometimes hard to believe that Fox News and MSNBC are reporting stories from the same galaxy when you watch their broadcasts on any given night.

Something else I’ve observed is how the reported news is often wrong on many of the details of a story. I’ve been involved with a few mining stories that were reported on tv and in the newspaper. I was in a position to know the details of the events reported....what made the “news” wasn’t remotely accurate. Magnify that times all the other stories reported and you end up with an hour’s worth of nonsense passed off as the truth.

POTUS got the term "fake News" direct from the leftist media. They made that term up to attack internet news sources when they constantly (the main stream media) got caught lying. I was stationed in GTMO when the whole waterboarding thing was hot. The only station to accurately report what was going on in GTMO was fox news... I lived the story so on this small case I can definitively say CNN, MSNBC,ABC, NBC faked the news about GTMO...

It's funny the guy that said that any news found on facebook is fake. Facebook, Twitter and the like are about the only places to get real news nowadays, besides C-span.

The days of a reporter investigating an issue and presenting the facts, minus his/her own opinion, are gone. And yes, that goes for Fox just as much as CNN. It's all fake, but those that DO watch the news usually choose to watch one that is biased towards his or her personal beliefs.

So, imo, the only way there is now to get real news, is to investigate the issues yourself and make up your own mind, which is where facebook and twitter come in handy. Examples of things I watch on social media are clips from C-span, local and national political debates and speeches, the President's rallies, the press secretary's releases, news clips (from any station, right or left) that actually show congressmen or fbi agents, or whoever speaking themselves. Things like that... things that can't really be fake because it's the actual person saying whatever he or she is saying, opposed to someone else telling you what they said and what they meant.

As for other things you might hear on the news, such as mainly numbers... being they pertain to the GDP, unemployment, the dow, crime rates whatever... can easily be researched yourself to verify if what is being said on the news is true.

So basically in my opinion, watching the news is fine. I do sometimes... and sometimes it will be fox, and other times cnn or msnbc. Usually, the "news" on fox vs cnn is complete opposites of each other... so that's when it's time to look further into the issue yourself.

The "fair and balanced" label foxnews tries to give itself is the most fake of all things fake. They are very bit as bad CNN or Msnbc. It is hard to believe anyone can watch any single "news" source and think they get the whole story.

keith c is correct about the creative editing, and angela is right about looking into scenarios yourself, preferably before opening your mouth. trump made a statement like "I hate that these kids are being separated.....". this past week his words were turned around, and it was stated that he'd said "I hate these kids that are separated…." he went from hating the separation, to hating the kids.

I couldn't believe all the people that glommed onto this crap, and it continued to escalate, until finally someone straightened it out. all the "haters" disappeared immediately.

yes you can find real news on facebook, but you still need to verify what youre reading there.

Somebody certainly should. I hate to see anyone be made a fool of by believing that fox is fair and balanced. They are every bit a fake as any of them, but at least the others don't make the F&B claim. It is the most fake of all fake claims.

Msnbc and fox and different sides of the same coin.

Just maybe the real issue is not what is offered to us by any of the media news orgs, it is what we choose to believe. We make choices as individuals and we need to live with those good, bad and or ugly. If progressive and conservative news organizations can make good money convincing any of us what we should or should not believe then the are accomplishing their goals in our capitalistic media based world.

100% correct. But it seems that many want there to be a team they can believe is all good and the rest are all bad. They do it with news sources just like they do with political parties.

It isn't necessarily that lies are told or that facts are omitted.

Facts can be slanted depending on the phrase(s) used to present them...

If you don't believe certain words or phrases are chosen to paint a chosen picture of the facts at hand... I've got a bridge and a few national monuments I'll sell you at a great price.

As far as local news goes... Look at the graphics they display behind the anchors as they read the copy. Especially if the story line involves firearms.

If you don't think there is an agenda to program your perceptions you need to pay more attention.

Not really. They'd probably figure he was walking on top his wall in the middle of the Rio Grande.
