Man, I really hate to be "that guy" but I am currently upside down on my 2010 Polaris Ranger 800, because the motor popped. I bought it with 450 hours, around 550 it blew. Knowing what I know now, I would have never bought an 800, I will probably never buy another polaris. If I could do it over, I would get a honda pioneer, when I am no longer upside down on my current UTV, that is what I plan to do.
So yea, my advice would be to unload it asap. Best luck, sorry to be a downer

Was at a local dealer on Thursday for oil & filter for my 04 Ranger, They had two newer 800's with bad motors, From what I have heard, keep an close eye on the oil level in them.

1st thing the dealership that sold it to me told me was it prolly didn't have oil, but mine did, I checked it weekly, the crank shaft basically wallered out the motor was my understanding (sorry I am a terrible mechanic)
Guy local here works on them, he told me he would never own a polaris because he works on way too many of them, also told me he would buy a honda if he had to choose one. So with my experience and his, I am kind of lokking to head the honda route asap

I have an 800 I bought new, It now has 600 hrs and 4008 miles, and yes it eats oil. If u dont keep it checked often, it wont be touching the stick. Im waiting on an engine problem as I have heard they are known for it.
