With the staple teeth, missing spring and modded chain I would probably toss them into the parts pile.
Hope you don't put much money into those.

The victor actually looks like what’s referred as a mystery barrel trap. Looks part triumph and part victor, mostly triumph. Hard to tell for sure from picture. They are actually quite interesting traps with lots of variations.

Thanks guys. I do not know much about older traps. I recieved these from a good friend who passed away a couple years ago. There was around 12-14 longsprings and some stoploss traps. He was a beaver trapper back in the day. I was going to try and clean a couple up to use this year.

The chain looks wired to the base, I doubt it came factory like that. Looks added and I cant tell whats up with the jaws on that Victor.

Clean them up to suit YOU. Make a goal to catch an animal in each one of them as a tribute to your dearly departed good friend, then display them somewhere you have to go by them so that you will have something to smile about every day.

I agree with 52Carl. There is a feller here that did that with a few #4 Newhouse last season and caught a few coyotes with them.

Here's one that looks to be ALL Triumph except the pan stamp....

I just sold one that looked similar. The difference was the chain.
