Funny stuff right there. lol
My 10/22 is really tricked out though. Tactical Solutions barrel, Volquartsin trigger & bolt, Boyd stock, and Kahles scope. About $2k total investment.

Whatever shoots most accurately. I've got a handful of .22 rifles, and no two of them shoot the same ammunition. The first thing I do with a new gun is get a bunch of different brands and loadings of ammo and a handful of targets. I honestly don't have two that shoot the same. That said, I get fair accuracy out of CCI high speed hollow points in most of those guns.

That said, I have a .17 Mach II that will drive tacks no matter what ammo I put in it.

The kind that goes bang. It does make a difference. Every now and then I miss the head by a lot. Good hp they still drop. Cheap Walmart hp. They run for the next county

Don't do anything you don't want to explain to the paramedics. I do appreciate a good story tho.

CCI mini mags hp or CCI velocitor ...both are accurate in my squirrel rifle.

Used to be twelve gauge #4's when we could hunt ducks with lead. Shot allot of squirrels on the hike in and out from many a beaver dam. Before that it was bow and arrows. Now if I get a hankering for squirrel, I'll take a .22 with yellow jacket hollow points.

Anymore I just take my suppressed Ruger with Remington sub Sonic hp. They shoot the best out of that gun.
If I did not have my suppressor, it would be mini mags or Remington golden bullets.

Pedersoli recommended charges of 28 to 40 grains in my .32 Kentucky flint... So I went with 30 grains to start and it's been an accurate load for squirrels. I'm not sure why, but I'm better at shooting the squirrels than I am poking holes in paper. I may have to spend some more time developing loads. But as long as it keeps sniping squirrels, I'm happy.

Once you smoke that first squirrel you'll be hooked.

I'm anxiously awaiting cooler weather so I can get out and hunt again.

Yep, the Winchester 40 grain powerpoints are the most accurate ammo for my 1022 as well. Group better than the CCIs.

I've found a distinct difference between any 36gr round and the 40gr round.

my Sako will shoot any ammo I run thru it extremely well. I prefer Winchester super X or wildcats. It will not chamber CCI stingers. Chamber is too tight.

I've always liked 4 shot Remington nitro mags out of my 20 guage. Doesn't fill the squirrel with a lot of lead and pretty effective out to 50 yards. Never really to get much time to rifle hunt squirrels but Hornady FMJ works pretty good for me. The ballistic tips aren't good if your wanting to eat the rest of the squirrel.

got a couple 22's that like cci regular velocity 40 grain lead bullets. out to 25 yards or so they both shoot minute of squirrel with pretty much any long rifle 40 grain lead bullet 22 ammo. tried stingers a long time ago when they first came out. haven't bought hollowpoints ever again
