Nephew is a big Cubs fan the wife and I watch the Twins games, no desire to go to game with my luck I'd get stuck next to that guy you hear yelling trash for the whole game!

Sportscenter nailed it by saying he lived the scenerio that every little kid in America acted out in his backyard. I dont think I ever had a backyard AB where it wasnt bottom 9, 2 down, bases loaded down by 3.
My wife has been a Cubs fan since she was a teenager growing up in Florida. Don't ask me how that happens. Her Cubs mania has spread to me. We went to a Cubs/Reds game this summer. The first Cubs game she ever saw that wasn't on TV. The Cubs won and she was one sunburned happy camper.

Has only happened this once in major league history. with the score 3-0, 2 outs, and two strikes!
Unlike most Cub fans I don't really hate the Cardinals but only because I'm a big fan of great catchers and Molina is pretty darn good. Of course that's all out the window when they play the Cubs!!!

grew up in Chicago, last game we took the kids to was a Cub's game. We went down to visit my Ma, she went along also. It was in the 1980's, anyway the Cub's lost, we parked in a lot nearby, the cars were 3 deep so we had to wait till the guys in front moved. we were in the back row, the guy in front of us came and in front of him was a space that you could fit about 7/8 of a car. He was stumbling when he got to his car, he must of had a good time at the game. After 2 minutes of sitting in his car he gunned it and banged his way out damaging his and both other cars. I'm glad we were in the back row. I've been out of Chicago for 43 years now, but pray almost every day for that city. My brother and two brother-inlaws are police officers, thankfully retired now. It's sad what that city has become.

Pretty darn good? That is the understatement of the day. He is probably one of the greatest to play the position.
I’ll root for the cubs when Cole Hamels pitches.
Edit: For the record, I’m a Phillies fan, and a baseball fan in general. I’ll always root against the Mets though.

You don't rise to the occasion, you fall to the level of your training.

I dont have real hate of the cubs I just never root for them. And any good cardinal fan has to bust the chops of a cubs fan and vise versa.

I'm no fan of Chicago the city, but I still like the Cubbies.
