I'm trying out some duckbill earth anchors and would like to attach chain to them. Does anyone have experience making these? The reason I ask is mighty S hooks, light duty S hooks, and chain links don't want to work with the size of hole in the anchor or the thickness of them. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

I haven't used the duckbills, but if you're using S hooks I'd strongly recommend spot welding the ends closed. I use Wolf Fang earth anchors with a lap link attaching the the chain to the anchor.

Sorry, didn't read your post closely enough. You could use a short section of cable to attach the chain to the anchor.
