I’m looking at one in good shape. Just wondering what your guys opinion are on these snowmachines. I will be using it for ice fishing and maybe a few later seasons whitetail hunting.

Popular machine in the bush for a long time, basically crush the snow and go.They made good trails, good for hauling wood etc.Sort of like two elans stuck together side by side. The newer wide track machines made them obsolete. If your ice fishing, dont get them stuck in slush.

Forget that fear of gravity-get a little savagery in your life.

Make sure the ski leg is 1-1/8" diameter otherwise it will break at the wrong time and place!

I had one . It could really pull a load . It was very difficult to steer . did not really matter which way the ski was pointing it went straight.

On packed snow, they are FANTASTIC...

As long as you only want to go straight...

Forever!

Yes, lots of power pushing you forward and one ski to break the inertia! Had a couple of those in the family when I was a kid. They would pull like a team of mules if memory serves me.

Best trail maker. 30 below and drive over small trees and they just snap off. No hanging up with 1 ski!
