The colour of the eye spots in the rear is one good direction in ID, there are others and the deal with wing cells and the amount of black
Very freshly emerged specimen, key factor putting in elevation is good

This Eastern Tiger Swallowtail was spotted feeding on a butterfly bush on the same flower most of the day - on and off from early morning until late afternoon. Its ragged condition could have been caused by multiple reasons - long flight in a storm, fighting, mating, or nabbed by a predator?
