I was thinking about trying 1 of those coilspring Jake traps, primarily for coyote I suppose. They work well for bobcat too?
Some of the places I looked online don't seem to sell it. Are they not available through most trapping supply companies?

They'll hold anything that sets a foot in one. I've never ordered them from anyone but JC.

Definitely top of the line trap, and the only place to get them is from their website, unless of coarse you buy used. New or used they are usually close to the same price.

All I use is Jakes. I do not recall ever having one sprung without a critter in it. They are great right out of the box. I cannot think of one thing which I would change, and I do like to tinker with my traps.
I trap in wind blown sand and they still fire when covered with what one would believe would be too much sand to fire through and make a catch.

Great trap! If you decide to get them spend the extra money and weld the j-hooks up....no lost time or traps.

Like Mike said WELD the rivets! Great trap that holds everything it gets ahold of. J C can't leave em be and is constantly upgrading them.
