I have several groundhogs using concrete water drains and avoiding all cage traps. Are conies the way to go ,as I am in a city what is a good way to set these? Any bait suggestions. apples are being used.
Thanks,
Fisher

positive sets with Comstock 2-way traps, no bait. With or without a nose cone. Use fencing to get them to go where you want.
If you know where they travel, they are as good as caught!
I would be very careful setting conies in the city - bad publicity waiting to happen!

Positive set with a double door cage is what I'd want to do.

If I had to use bait, cantaloupe. If I had to use Apple, Cortland as it doesn't brown as fast.
