Ok How does this make walmart anti gun? Are they also anti alcohol? Got a sign up also says must be 21 to buy beer??????
What if they only sold alcohol to those who are 50 years old and older? That's what they are doing with their gun and ammo policy that statement is so stupid [/quote] What statement & why? They are preventing purchases from those who are legal to make a purchase because of their age. If they did that to alcohol there would be an uproar numerous law suits would happen and would make it to the scotus.

That's my point just like alcohol sale laws they have laws for gun and ammo purchases but Wal-Mart says that's not good enough and will not sell to long guns and ammo to anyone under 21 even though the law says you can legally buy at 18. Dicks and Wal-Mart are both being sued for age discrimination. www.google.com/amp/s/www.washingtonpost....discrimination/I gave a scenario: What would happen if Wal-Mart raised their minimum age to purchase alcohol? There would be an uproar numerous suits would be filed and probably get to the scotus.

We have laws in regards to drinking but that are laws. Wal-mart only has policy’s not to sell guns or ammunition to people under 21.

Heck I know a fella in SE Nebraska that had to close his gun shop because a Fed. sting operation sent a guy in with a FAKE ID to buy a box of.22 shells! Owner lost his FFL license over it, closed his store and sold it. Numerous folks have lost their jobs over selling tobacco to sting operations with a fake ID. Ridiculous.

Look at the way some of todays millennials conduct themselves. Their parents failed them...... now it's up to law enforcement, store clerks and the general public to try to deal with them in some acceptable manner.

I think the only gun in my name is my daughter's 22 cricket. If some one 18 wanted a gun why not have some one buy it for them just like a present? The thing that bothers me with Wal-Mart isn't that they want sell to someone 18, if someone 18 can't get a parent to buy the gun they don't need it. My problem is that they can put a hold on the back ground check if they think something is suspicious about the sell, so if they see that joe has bought 3 gun this week and thinks that's odd they put a hold on his back ground check. Or if they think he lied on the paper work they hold him. Now in some cases this may be a good thing but I am not sure I trust Wal-Mart to know who needs a gun and who don't Buying a gift is legal but getting someone to buy you a gun and calling it a gift is a straw purchase and not legal.

The guy at Walmart has no idea what or how many you have bought that is why they call it in. I saw this with my own eyes. A Walmart closed in a town and they clearance their guns. Me and 3 other guys bought all they had. But one guy was smart enough to bring his wife, son, and daughter. The first 3 I bought were approved on the spot . The last three were put on hold. One was approved before I got home . The other 2 took a couple of days. Oh yes got 3 bolt savages with scopes for 89 bucks each. Plus got 3 ruger 17 cal for 69 bucks each.

Why on God's green earth should I need an "adult" to purchase a gun!? Simple answer . The messed up world we live in. When all these laws were made kids had some respect. The parents where not to busy or afraid to discipline them. With all this" oh you hurt my feelings" crap todays world is in a spin. Is 21 to old for the age requirement. ??? Maybe not for some. But most of todays youth have been cauddled by mommy and daddy that they have no idea what reality is. Heck my generation at 21 most people were married and raising families. Kids now days are having babies and letting granny and grandpa raise them while they continue running and ripping....... You know the bible verse Jesus wept........

There are 9 states where you can be a police officer prior to age 21. Special exceptions for those folks, I'm sure.

I liked when they would ask if the .22 shells are for a rifle or handgun... They wouldnt sell you .22 shells if you said handgun and were under 21.
Stupid.

Walmart doesn't think we should have semi-automatics when the law says we can. Walmart doesn't think someone under 21 should buy a gun when the law says he can. Some people think we shouldn't have semi-autos. They say they don't need one so we shouldn't either. some people think we shouldn't even have guns. They say they don't need one, so we shouldn't either. Some people think we don't need to trap, because they don't. I'd tell ya where i think those people and Walmart can go but this is a child friendly place.
