A lot of them will have two litters, one In spring and one around August, usually big Enough to follow mom out by the time the leaves start to turn.

Raised one when i was a kid. Anything made of wood in my room looked like someone took a router to it.
I will gladly feast on those who would subdue me.

Yep picked one up that size squirrel hunting in the fall. Was cutting trees in Feb. one year and fell a tree with two in it. Raised them. Your's would probably respond to a 60 watt light bulb hung above him. If he gets the runs cut the milk to half water. Good luck. Had a 15 watt bulb in my reading lamp I had over him it was vented on the top not much heat so I switched it out today for a 60 the warmer he gets the more active he gets, he was doing OK this AM moving and eating then peed on me so that's a good sigh his systems are functioning well, One tough little critter it looks like.

What kind of creature is on the bottom left? Is that your cheeseburger locker? Makes him think Mama is close by! LOL

Still eating just needs a good poop and all would be good then, been giving him water for rehydration and food for protein as they both work differently on their system. Hydration is more important then food at the start as the digestion process can be drain on the body if he's not hydrated promptly so it's a guessing game now.

Went out last night to move my truck after a storm and I was walking one way and a big old mudpuppy was walking the other way down the driveway. He was heading for the dog and did not care about the cats much either. I took him in to show the wife and I thought she was going to say, "your not keeping that" but she never did! What a woman!!! I took him out and pointed him in the direction he was heading just away from the dog and cats. LOL
