I was 20 when walmart changed their policy on ammo sales and had been in the Army for 2 years already, I shoot skeet every week and used to buy my 12 gauge shells there because it was the best price near the base. Then one day I went up to the counter and they asked for my ID and said you can’t buy these here, I found it quite ridiculous that the week before I was at the range with a SAW and 240 but I couldn’t buy shotgun shells. I know a lot of others on here were over seas before they could drink a beer and to me that’s just not right. If you’re old enough for your country to send you to die thousands of miles away from home you’re old enough to buy a 1911 or a case of beer. Rant over

I agree.

Knee jerk reaction to all the other crap going on. Fist off no one under 21 can buy handgun ammo. Im going to guess that .22 cal is probably one of the biggest sellers and my kid cant go buy a box. Then they went to NO ammo under 21.Its a pain to have to buy my boys shotgun shells every time they need some. The best thing is to cut Walmart out. Yes they are cheaper on some things but your money goes further if you buy from local mom and pop stores . You can cound on both hands the number of times I go to Walmart in a year and thats just for something I need "right now" and its convenient to go there.

They probably sell more guns than anyone else and they are anti gun? I have only bought one gun from them. It was a Henry lever .22 eight years ago for my youngest son's 10th birthday. It was cheaper there and most of the small shops had none in stock, so I would have had to order. I wanted to see the actual gun before I bought it.
If a guy is 18,19, or 20, he can easily buy a gun somewhere else.

More than you'd think I bet. Interesting question. I wonder what is the most popular caliber for gang/drug related gun shootings where the caliber is known and compare those numbers to the caliber used in gang/drug related deaths. We could then extrapolate from the data which really is the most effective at killing and make the whole process more efficient.
