I found some colony traps at a thrift store that look like they were mass produced by a company. The clips holding them together are not the typical cage clips many colony traps are held together with. They are a long clip that look like the would take a special machine to roll shut. The traps are appox 24x5x5 and are collapsable. Anyone know who would of produced these and when ?

Collapsible style been around for years through suppliers. When prices are up you tend to see more creative products being sold when prices are low they go more basic then.

I guess what im asking is did any trap companies like Woodstream etc manufacture a colony trap ? The clips that hold these together are not something your backyard trap maker would use. Ive trapped for 30 years and have seen alot of colony traps over the years but none that were this neatly made.

A lot of the ones I seen had 2 long U shaped stakes that held the square shape when you were ready to use them, what keeps that one from collapsing on you? The U shaped stakes went across the top and down the sides to keep it from falling flat.

No clue who made them maybe wissmiss might have a clue on here?

I see the green on that one it could of been a Woodstream build.

There is a piece of rod formed into a square on the inside of the trap that swings down into place to keep the traps form while in use. You reach inside and push it down into the formed- in notches on the bottom of the trap.
