I have Facebook and don’t get email notifications anymore, because I turned them off. At the bottom of every email, there should be something like “to turn off email notifications click here” or “change xyz setting.” It’s not hard to do, just have to find the right setting to chrange.

Upper right hand corner. Click on triangle/drop down menu
Click settings
Click notifications.

In there you can manage what types of notifications you get.
