brianmall OP trapper B Joined: Oct 2013 Posts: 11,269 Indiana	I have 3/4 acre wrapped in high tensile and PVC coated chicken wire. Chickens are kept clipped so they can't glide or fly short distances. I've had a few that still seem to escape on a regular basis. I've asked the boys to watch and figure out how. They have been telling me that the goats have been helping chickens. By standing near fence allowing chickens to climb them then hop fence. Well I witnessed it. Pretty clever if I can say so!

Pinion one wing on the chickens or at least cut off the flight feathers on 1 wing, so they are imbalanced in flight and they will stay grounded in your fence. If you do both wings the same, they can still fly, so only do one wing. Keith
