I have 3/4 acre wrapped in high tensile and PVC coated chicken wire. Chickens are kept clipped so they can't glide or fly short distances.

I've had a few that still seem to escape on a regular basis. I've asked the boys to watch and figure out how. They have been telling me that the goats have been helping chickens. By standing near fence allowing chickens to climb them then hop fence.

Well

I witnessed it.

Pretty clever if I can say so!

I got a kick out of it today. Chicken did it with me right there.

Hopped on goat. Then jumped fence

I tried to take a pic. But couldn't set my coffee down quick enough

America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

Depends

I'll clean house of all males for sure only to keep one male chicken and duck so I can incubate. But I'll put up with all the shenanigans from the hens as long as they are laying and I can make some money off eggs.

Verdict is still out!

May be eating chicken and duck all year next year?

I think you mean George Orwell's "Animal Farm"?

"THE SEVEN COMMANDMENTS"
1. Whatever goes upon two legs is an enemy.
2. Whatever goes upon four legs, or has wings, is a friend.
3. No animal shall wear clothes.
4. No animal shall sleep in a bed.
5. No animal shall drink alcohol.
6. No animal shall kill any other animal.
7. All animals are equal."

Eh...wot?

Pinion one wing on the chickens or at least cut off the flight feathers on 1 wing, so they are imbalanced in flight and they will stay grounded in your fence. If you do both wings the same, they can still fly, so only do one wing.

Right

These things are using goats! No joke or exaggeration.

We only do one wing

I'm not upset about it

It's kind of comical to watch how these things test the limits.

Reminds me of the movie, "Chicken Run"!

Id just take care of the goats. Bad enough that the things can't stay in their pens themselves, no call for them helping everyone else out as well.
