Picked up a med for a infection and it's says made in China on the bottle? Since when is it OK with China to handle our meds when they gave Canada such a hard time. The icing on the cake is it's the same outrageous price $97 for a 60mL bottle (just over 2oz) how crazy it that I don't trust anything from China they would sell us poison if they could get away with it. From China and not any cheaper someone making a killing on that stuff.

Watched a show awhile back about their production of wood flooring. Lumber Liquidators plant was featured and their vinyl and laminated wood flooring contained high levels of either asbestos or formaldehyde.

According to a few different news articles, 80% of active ingredients come from india and china. Final manufacturer is the only one required to be on the label.

Environmental/safety regulations cost the rich company owners money-get rid of those regs,it hurts the bottom line.Who cares if people die a decade or two earlier-that will save money too.

Just what are you getting at Boco ?? Regulations in regards to many industry's in our country have cost American citizens Billions upon Billions of dollars. I agree regulations concerning public health should be in place, but it sounds to me your assuming the recent actions of the current administration within our country to repeal some of those regulations might have spilled over into regulations concerning our prescription medications. I'm not sure that is the case, and I think you might be making assumptions based only upon the fact that some crippling regulations have been lifted by this administration. Your country in itself has plenty regulations that your citizen pay for dearly, and your country has plenty of things that your government seems to turn it's head the other way upon, so I suggest not tossing rocks in a glass house mister.

WOW! That is kind of a scary thing for them to be making our drugs. You wonder how much testing is done by US? Even if tested and not safe it could be to late. Not good!

You can get them tested for lead I am sure if you want. Oh sorry that was the toys and the formula. I guess you should be OK.

The majority of Generic drugs are made overseas. Blame the Pharmacies, the Doctors, the Drug Companies, or the Insurance Companies. The fact is, when you get a Prescription filled, it is usually filled Generically. That means overseas, in many cases. Yes, they can say the Generics are bioequivalent to the brand name drugs That means they are supposed to have the same amount of the active ingredient of the drug in the pill. What is different, is the amount of, and what they use for filler ingredients. That can all be different between manufacturers.


Another thing to think about. You get a Prescription for Acme drug, ( Just used that as a name), and get 5 refills. 1st bottle of that drug comes from one manufacturer. There is NO guarantee that your Pharmacy is going to fill that Generic drug over the next 5 refills ; from the same manufacturer. Take an Anti Convulsant drug, for example. You want to make Dam sure that drug works, and you don't have a Grand mal Seizure. If you are on Dilantin, and your Doc is trying to switch you over to Keppra , or it's Generic equivalent ; during the Months that the build up of the Keppra in your system takes place, and then the months it takes to wean off the Dilantin. You might be on different generic brands of Keppra. Some brands might work better than others .


It's really about the Money. The insurance companies want to save money, and the patients are the ones that are sometimes put at risk because of corporate financial decisions.

FDA doesn't do the testing, it's either the manufacturer or a third party lab.

FDA is another waste of space.

The Chinks ain't getting the $97. the Pharmacy you buy them from does. Just means more profit to them.
