I have a swage tool from Lowe’s or a box store like that and everything works good except the 1/16” ferrule crimper. I cannot get an uncrimped ferrule into the pocket to swage the ferrule. The next size larger works great. Wondering if there is adjustment on these or what I can do. Any help will be appreciated. Can you take it back? If not maybe a little light grinding somewhere with a dremel? Is it that the jaws don't open up far enough?

I’ve had it several years. Just tried to use 1/16 size for first time.

That's for jaw gap, won't affect the small slot dia.
