Use these cell phone information collection tools called stingrays? It is important that you know. It is your private information, and if you don't care government will take further steps to erode your freedoms. If only the 4th amendment had as many supporters as the 1st and 2nd.

You're right, I don't know but I doubt it. Law enforcement in my area don't wake up until a family member calls them about a suspicious vehicle. I love our cops. They don't care less about what we're doing 90% of the time, lol.

Been a cop now going on 30 years and never heard of such a device. If it isn't Ethical, Legal and Moral then it is of no use to me or our Dept. Nor any other Department. When I swore the oath to abide by both the US constitution and the Texas constitution I meant every word I recited. I have no use for info that is obtained unlawfully and in violation of a citizens rights, furthermore, if I knew someone was doing such a thing I would bust their arse. I have a very, very low tolerance for those who tarnish the oath and our duties.

what about nsa sheepdog? they monitor all electronic communication. email, cell phones, all of it. it is one thing to have agents who monitor public sites like this one for possible crimes and quite another to monitor private communication without warrants.

the excuse of course is that information is only stored till a warrant from a secret court is obtained. the little evidence we have suggests that fisa court has never denied a surveillance request.

we have made a tiny bit of progress restoring the 2nd in spite of many gun owners who still insist reasonable gun control is a real thing.

this flaunting of constitutional privacy law needs to be curtailed quickly if not sooner.

Will they see a citizen not using all the technology available as a red flag?

Danny I agree with you 1000 percent. I talk a lot of crap when on my cell phones about the Clintons in hopes someone comes to see me. The way I see it, Hillary and Bill are responsible for a lot of deaths(murders) not to mention an Ambassador to Libya, several spec ops retired guys trying to protect the Ambassador and then of course the treasonous act of Uranium one. so if they are monitoring here and listening to my phone calls they can all kiss my arse on the courthouse square, I have no use for them as everything they are doing is illegal. The FISA court Judges aren't Judges no more than you or I. Any Judge who signs every warrant brought before them and the darn thing is baseless and wreaks of extreme bias and prejudice isn't worth the salt in a five gallon bucket of pee. Since they have now been exposed in this Hillary Alinsky ploy, et al, One would think they know they have been getting duped for years on these warrants and hopefully they put to task those who bring before them anything to be signed. The cats out of the bag on that crap now they need to start indicting those responsible.

Hobbie, I have been up all night so I am not sure what you are asking. Who knows what those idiots up there will do after what has been exposed at the top levels of the DOJ. It boils my blood that there have been no indictments for these asinine and illegal, unconstitutional violations of law. Michael Vick was fighting dogs, went to federal prison, Martha Stewart,. insider trading or whatever, lied to FBI went to federal prison. What those two did is miniscule compared to what all of those associated with Obama and the Clintons have been doing for years without consequence.

Ours don't, they have a hard time getting text messages from a confiscated phone if you delete the messages before they take it. They do keep track of all kinds of strange info about you though. They keep track of what you do for a job and even how much they make. If they can get your social security number they have access to your past tax info. They also have a de facto gun registration. A couple years ago I bought a new pistol and promptly went to a local lake to try it out. On the drive home a deputy called me and asked if I had just bought a new smith and Wesson .40 and was just shooting it out at a lake, because apparently I was within 200 yards of a house (only by a few yards, the homeowner apparently is a stickler and likes to complain, and I was shooting safely). How in the world would he know what I had and that I just bought it? When you buy a pistol in Lincoln, you have to record the sale with the police department, and apparently they share that info with other agencies.

I was just curious if those monitoring all of that had reached the point of paranoia that they begin concern about those citizens not putting anything out there to monitor. lol

Little black box that the Feds have. If I remember right it taps into the cell tower to get to the phone. I would doubt that any local police have it. Lots of strings attached as far as the 1st goes. I don’t worry about it, because the nsa gets everything already. We can discuss that some other time.

that little black box needs shoved up that orifice right below their tailbone. There are one or two occasions in which I can think of that anything like that would be used in this day and time. they have some far more sophisticated equipment than that box device.

The director of national intelligence under bushama,James clapper, outright lied to Congress about domestic spying. He was never charged, but what is more jaw dropping is that Congress voted to continue spying on American citizens.

a lot of misconceptions on the stingray, for one they are not cheap so only major police departments are going to have one and they are highly regulated at the local jurisdiction. They are used most often to locate a specific phone. think fugitive etc... or they are used to block all cell phones in a area bomb threats swat calls etc... You regular cell phone is a lot more of a problem about privacy than the stingray. it tracks your every move when it pings a cell tower and the phone company has it all recorded.

Listening to phone calls is so easy now , I do it for work , one mirrored switch port and I have a recording of every call coming and going from a building.

the problem is that is a huge file in a few minutes , so you need the software to pull that file apart and save the individual calls.

if you have the access tot he network , and the software you can absolutely record every call , then it is a matter of running the audio files through a voice recognition software.

that said you carry a wire tap with you all the time , you pay good money to install them in your house.

hey Wiretap , I mean Alexa , play Willy Nelson city of new orleans.

while I listen to calls all the time my goal is to keep the file to as little as possible so I have less clutter to deal with I want the call I need the signaling info for it and audio so I can prove what is broken and I want no more.

could people be listening , yes they can , is it easier than ever if you have the right access , yes it is , is it admissible in court , no so most local law enforcement has little use for it.

want to go scary , all these DNA tests to determine family lineage your dna sequence is being given away by other family members a lot of people are figuring out htier families dirty little secrets

sperm doners who gave anonymously are being linked to their 50 children

kids given up for adoption quietly or anonymously are being linked back .

there is no privacy just what is admissible in court for your last 4th amendment protection

the Golden state killer found this out .

America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.
