Well I lost my huntin buddy,my 12 year old German Shorthair Mack. He had been goin downhill for awhile and we knew the time had come to say goodbye. It's a tough thing to do even when you know its the right thing. It sure is strange around the house without him here. I used to look forward to seeing his head pop up in the window everyday when I got home from work and he'd be waiting on me to get inside which it seems I could never do fast enough for his liking lol. Huntin season sure won't be the same this year, I'm gonna miss that old dog!

It's tough loosing a loyal companion that you have done so much with

I had 2 German short hair but lost my male last year, still have a wonderful 3yr old female. Probably the best dogs I've ever been around. Sorry for the loss

Losing a dog hurts bad .They are happy to see you no matter how bad a day you might have had. If you have birds to hunt where you live ,my advice is start working on finding another dog. The only birds to hunt here are stocked pheasants . I figure having a dog to run a trap line or find sheds is reason enough to have a dog .

Someone on once said that the only problem with dogs is that they don’t live as long as we do

I have several good dogs I miss some gone way to soon

Sorry for the loss of your great dog. I know all too well how you feel. Lost 3 goldens over the years and my male that we have now is starting to show his age. He is watching Paw Patrol with my grandson as I type this.

It's always tough to see them go.. I'm very sorry for your loss..
