Picked up a road killed deer Sunday afternoon for bait pit's this fall.
As I was cutting it up I thought how much my dog loves bone marrow, so I cleaned as much as I could. About 2 ounces is what I got. I mixed in a little glycerine and put it in the frig.
I'm going to test it this week.
Has anyone tried it?

You can also taint it,in the bone.Just store the bones till you think it's time.I just retrieved some bones that have been laying in the woods since November. The marrow definitely is stronger. than fresh but not as loud as you would think. As much grease as it seems to contain,it will definitely freeze,so it does need that glycerine

Wish I could use it that way. Pa rules say can't be seen from above.

Taximan I love me some glycerine. I found out last year, that I like glycerine for freeze proof set's better than wax dirt. 2 8oz bottles go a long way in a day of setting traps. Just keep a bottle in an inside shirt pocket. Makes it easier to use when it's below freezing. I find easier than carrying waxed and dry dirt. Just what works for me
