Secondly, many years ago we had a governor named Wendell Anderson who got thru a tax initiative that takes a percentage of tax revenue from the people in and around the cities and the lower 2/3 of the state give or take, and sends that money to the north. That is a big reason why northern Minnesota has the schools, roads, infrastructure etc that they do. They called it the "Minnesota Miracle"

Being unappreciative and some might say chewing on the hand that feeds you is a sad way to go thru life here.

lol, well, it did occur to me that the resort owners are all transplants, and the workers are dreamers that fished here in their youth, and the guides are usually a fella from Iowa with a GPS and a lake chip, and don't own a boat, lol. These folks are just extra people from elsewhere.

It's a rather complicated process where first a deer has to be frightened by a spear then the adrenaline starts the process which is completed
after the deer/moose is chased and beaten with a stick until the transformation is complete. That's why the moose population is on the decline in MN....takes just too much work to make one. Now, aren't you glad you asked?

Back when Mn only had few area codes, calling someone a 612er wasnt about their mental abilities or lack there of it was about the difference in lifestyle they represented vs ours.
