I got the summons and like most was not all that happy. This was atleast my third one in about eight years. As luck would have it I was one that was chosen for the panel of 30. I am gonna guess that there were 60 summoned, so half for the panel. By the time they got the panel set there were 12 left that were not on the panel that got dismissed.

I really was not looking forward to it since I thought it would be something along the lines of a hit and run, drugs, domestic something or another. Turns out it was one that I would have liked to have been on. I think that was why I was not chosen.

Not that I would want to hear the details, and I will probably retain some sanity by not being there but it is one that means more to me. It took some going back and forth in my head but I decided that I could listen to the facts and make a decision based on them. I am pretty sure that his attorney had me axed.

The case. The accused was on trial for rape of a child (less than 18), child porn, child endangerment and others. That is all I know. Guessing that I got axed since I have 3 kids less than 18.

I should count my blessings on this one. I am sure that hearing the testimonial from the victim would not be something one would forget. I feel for those that got chosen to be jurors.

I'd volunteer for that and hang around for the hanging.

Warrior- I agree. If guilt was proven I would see to it that he spent as much time with bubba as could be. Had I been the father there may have been a different trial on hand. Tho, thinking about it. If he is convicted, and spends many years with those that do not aprove, that may be a better way to go. I like that better, send him away and let the 'boys' take care of him.
