I have never cared one bit about sports of any kind. Even in high school I never cared about going to a ball game or playing sports at all. Here in Georgia, UGA football is really like a cult religion. It dominates about every conversation with any group of people this time of year. Sometimes I feel like I'm the only person who doesn't care about it but I don't watch it and it has never interested me one bit. I literally would not go to the Super Bowl if somebody gave me the best tickets in the stadium for free and the stadium was 10 minutes from my house. I guess I've just never understood why people get so excited over a bunch of people they've never met running an inflated piece of leather around a field. Or throwing a ball in a basket. Most people love it and that's fine. Just wondering if anybody else on here is like me or am I the only oddball? smile

I grew up 70 miles from Lincoln NE and have never been to a Husker game. Glad I missed today's game. Wow.
I did attend my kids' games and followed the high school games when the teams were good. NFL sucks. NBA sucks. Soccer sucks. Hockey sucks.

It’s alot more fascinating if watching a sport you’ve played and are familiar with. Son plays football , so aside from getting excited for him and his teammates, I’m kind of apathetic. But baseball is another story. I was a distance runner primarily, though . I can watch a race and know what the runners are using for strategy. But at the end of the day, it’s still distance running which is boring to watch.

I have become your way.

I use to watch but all of the off field antics and now recently the on field disrespect to our country as turned me way off from supporting any overpaid crybabies. Including actors. They can keep their movies as well.

You live in the same Georgia I do? These folks over here are only mildly interested in football. You want to see folks interested then go next door to my home state of Alabama. Heck I've got a one month old grandbaby and I'm pressuring her to pick a team. Needless to say grand dad's lobbying for the University of Alabama.

I live in Bama and its like a religion here or even worse! I don't care for any of it! I know folks that have lost everything paying for travel ball and folks that hate each other over a football! I just don't get it ...but it does keep people occupied while I trap and hunt!

I absolutely LOVE college football and baseball. Everything else I could care less about. And YES I pull for Georgia in the East and Bama in the West...SEC all the way!!
But, I’m not one that my life revolves around wins or losses. I do know people that have taken days off after a loss of their favorite team, lol. I just love watching it. I’ll record every SEC game and watch them Sunday and Monday.

Nothing more boring than wasting a day watching some overpaid cry babys running on a field chasing a ball & I don't care what shape the ball is. Give me a field, wood, or a stream to walk in, through, or by & I am one happy fellow. A .22 on my shoulder or a fishing rod in my hand all the better.

Yep. Overpaid crybabies getting paid millions to run a ball around a field having the nerve to disrespect a true patriot on the front lines getting shot at in order to give the crybaby his freedoms. All while making 1/50th of his salary. They can shove it where the sun don't shine.

We watch college basketball - but that's it.
If they ever start paying those boys a salary, I'll be done with it.

Now guys when you're a Bama fan you could care less about pro sports of any stripe. Seriously Alabama is where pro sport franchises go to die.

depends on your childhood, I grew up in Chicago, no garden , no hunting. We played basketball, football, baseball, really we would play for 8 hours at the park on Saturday, besides every day after school. I always had the call of the wild. I would go to the forest preserve (1 to 5 acres in the city ) and come home with my pockets full of acorns. Older brother tried out for the Cubs, younger brother got a ride to St Joes, with Isiah Thomas, I was asked to play for Circle Ill. I moved up here, Merrill Wi, I hunt, trap, garden, have 20 blueberry bushes, 22 apple trees, raspberries, heat our house with wood. We had our 4 kids play sports but they learn't all this other stuff also, now I'm taking our 12 grandkids hunting, trapping, gardening, fishing, and they all play some sport also, I think it rounds a kid out if they do sports and outdoors things. It's to bad pro sports got so political, if you don't stand for our anthem you should be castrated, if you even have any. God Bless America. I watch a game here and there just so I can irritate Packer fans. A lot of sports is fixed by big money I know first hand, its sad.

I have zero interest in any sports. I have no dog in the race, so why do I care who wins. I grew up in a house with a father and brother who had season tickets for the Steelers and Penn State football as well as Penguin hockey seats. They attended many Super Bowl as well as a few college Bowl games. They didn’t hunt, just like sports wasn’t in my DNA.

Wife watches Bama and cheers for them. I could car e less if they never made another ball to chase after.

If you lived in “Title Town “ you’d have a different out look. Winning fixes everything ....Patriots,Red Sox, Celtics, Bruins....love them all...win or lose. Me and the wife watch them....maybe just the 2nd half sometimes ....both my sons could care less about our sports teams....

In highschool I would rather stay home and clean calf pens than attend a game. 40 years later and I still have the same opinion.

I was never a big sports fan. But since the NFL took to there knee I have never watch another NFL game since or any other sports. I NEVER though the Green Bay Packer would do such a thing. JMO
