Great video. Sure shows the need for fencing/blocking and staking down of old cow skulls. Pretty clear why it is common to back foot a cat also.

Owyhee ID. Always wanted to trap that country and never did. Wonder if Claude is going back up there this winter?

Agree on the backing. This video I believe was not trying to simulate and actual set. Was merely observation of wildlife in the off season. It would be neat to see actual set with no traps to see foot placement. Very neat videos though.

Is ol Claude out already? He has to be getting some age on him. Thing I noticed was the lure needed to be much higher on an object, would give a much better foot placement!

He was released in Feb of 2005 and last noted living in Grouse cr Ut. At least that what Wike says lol

Interesting that approach was to center of skull, not to side (where lure was).
