Bigfoot, great to visit. If this all pans out to be near as good as it seems, sounds; no doubt there is a place for this for many folks.
No doubt I'd want major medical coverage.

Here is a very recent transaction I just had. I needed an medical item replaced, so I call the supplier, she says, it's $80. I ask, well, what's the cash price?? I'll have to check and call you back she says. She calls back and for me, paying cash it's $38. So I go to Amazon and find the exact same thing, same manufacturer......for $27.
To say we have a problem in our medical field is a gross understatement.

I would hate to own a heath insurance company. Have to have some very deep pockets. Some claims are in the six digits.

What does that have to do with this topic? Or are you just trying to pizz in their cheerios?

I think the big problem is people have been told for years that they need to have health insurance or they're going to lose the farm. Kind of like how I was told growing up I needed to buy a home as it was a great investment. I bought my first house at 22 years old. Some days I wish I would have never paid for a house, and just enjoyed myself while letting someone else deal with the headaches of home ownership. I can't take the money with me to the grave. Everyone always wants to point the finger of increasing healthcare costs to the hospitals or the doctors when in all reality they are just reacting to the craziness they have to deal with daily...if you don't believe me go spend a day in an emergency room as a shadower for one day. You'll see more abuse of the healthcare system than you could ever imagine.

Please, no one in health insurance is hurting to put food on their table. It's a legal monopoly.
