What is added to a bait/lure to make it a "smear" bait?

Idk good question. I think it being ground very well and not having too much liquid in it will give it a smearing quality

Personally id want some thing very sticky that didn't dry out very fast. similar to vaseline, but Vaseline crusts over in dry windy conditions. but a new smear opens it back up.

Maybe crisco, bacon grease, lard, vaseline or in very cold conditions, BTO.

A guy cant go wrong with bacon grease! Unless a group of bums move into your trapping area!If you choose bto have real strong additives bto likes to dominate.

For bait if you can "procure" good fats that provide more than just a "smear" ability IE attraction to the animals would be the way to go. Ground up and mixed with other materials and it sticks/smears to everything.

There's a new one out called Blasey Ford. I hear it smears real well, and stinks to high heaven, but doesn't stick worth a darn.

lmao waka waka, I forgot what forum I was on. You might have to become an "expert" and put your 32 in to do something as simple as making a smear bait. You'll most likely have to compound supah leet high speed ingredients to come up with what you're looking for. That was a good one... but just remember those who follow will never lead
