I have a 3x9x40 Vari-x II that has developed a internal rattle . Give me the good the bad or the ugly of your dealings with them .

Have a lot of their products and they have stood behind the couple of problems ive had ( self inflicted problems)far beyond their warranty language.

I offered to pay for the repairs both times, and they did everything free of charge.

I had a pair of lower end Leupold binoculars my kids left out in the yard right before a 2" rainstorm. One side developed condensation inside the tube. I sent them in and told them exactly what happened. I had a brand new pair in the mail within 10 days free of charge. They have a top notch warranty in my opinion.

I have called a couple of times about issues. Fast, friendly, no additional charge service is all I have ever gotten from them.

Leupold has excellent customer service. They only charge in my experience for small parts mailed out such as turret caps, etc. Warranty work/parts is without charge. They also do QUICK service. You will not be posting in 3 months asking "does sevice usually take this long?"; instead you'll posting in 3 weeks saying "wow that was fast!".

Edit: My experiences only apply to Leupold branded, Made in USA stuff. I have not dealt with them on any outsourced (China, Phillipines, etc.) products nor have I dealt with their Redfield line. Both of those product lines are sold with a different warranty than Leupold-USA items.

Dropped my binocs messed up one side, only had them abt 20 years. Sent them to leupold
They fixed them free of charge in abt two weeks .
They sent them back without the strap, I called them ,explained what they forgot .
Sent me a new better strap than what I had on them free..

Well Leupold gets a thumbs up , got a new varix Freedom 3x9x40 VIA the UPS truck yesterday no questions asked .
I will be more inclined to buy more of there products now knowing first hand that they will stand behind there warranty.

Outstanding service in my mind. Wish other companies would take the hint. Always cheaper to keep a customer than go looking for new ones.

That is good to hear...I've bought Redfield and Burris all my life. My .375 is wearing a Leupold though.
