My wife and I took a trip to Juneau this summer. It was awesome. Whales, bears, salmon and mountains. I thought some of you guys might like to see the pictures

Two cubs playing along the side of the road

Same shot, just a wide view to show the sunrise

Whale watching tour. We saw 5 different humpbacks

Trip to pack creek. This was awesome. Brown bears everywhere

End of the road. Its beautiful country

Our cabin at Turner Lake

Been 29 years, but that west Turner Lake cabin WAS hard to leave! I spent a few nights there with a high school pal back in '89. My friend has lived in Juneau since 1980. The Dolly and Cutthroat fishing was great. Still have a Turner Lake Cut on my wall (19-20 incher). Several of the fish we caught that trip were tagged by Game and Fish guys. My pal worked fisheries for the state up there for something like 35'ish years. He retired from that and was hired by the Feds to work on Federal fisheries management in Alaska. .
