I never saw a 22 that wouldn't kill a coon at point blank. Have killed several with 22 birdshot in attics when you get close enough to touch the barrel to their heads. No pass through, no roof damage.

Being close helps the 22 shorts do what is needed.

If test them. Sub sonic might not be much louder than a short.

I’ve used them all. CCI QUIET is one of my favorites but I used a pile of shorts too. Made the mistake of confusing the QUIET with the mini mags before. Butchering hogs. It made for an interesting morning.
I keep desperately hoping that one day someone will call me "Sir" without adding "please calm down" or "you're causing a scene."
