If you're referring to the Ford case, she DID NOT have to lie to pass the exam! There were only two questions that were asked by the polygraph administrator and both were specifically in reference to the written statement she provided beforehand. It was a hand-written statement on a piece of yellow notebook paper. NO WHERE, in her written statement did she accuse Bret K. directly. She only described her assaulter as a friend of Mark Judge. A friend could be anyone. I think it actually happened, but not by Brett K. Thus when she answered the two questions she probably was not lying.

Go find her written statement. Read it, and then read the two polygraph questions that were asked.

Had a friend that owned a Brew-Threw store in a college town. Lots of employee theft. A security firm was contracted to screen employees. Every employee quit. He hired two gay men who lived next door. Those two did not give free beer to college girls and profits returned to normal.

I had to take a polygraph in 09.I was waiting at the state police barracks when in she came pulling the machine behind her. After I was hooked up, she asked me a question that I had to deliberately lie to, I guess to set the machine. She asked several questions, of which I told the truth- except for one which I thought about after answering.
It was "did you ever lie to stay out of serious trouble" which I answered "no". After the test was done she asked how I thought I did. I remarked " how far back are we going with these questions" she said you passed. I said after I answered I remember lying to my father all the time to avoid a butt whooping (which never did me any good as a child).
So actually it was a lie and I passed.

If you are trying to beat a polygraph,then you are a liar.
If you want to pass a polygraph tell the truth.
