We have three adult gobblers that feed in our condo complex. Coyote got one this morning but didn't have a chance to eat it. Those three gobblers have formed a bachlor group for a year. Adults, not jakes. Not with the hens last spring.

That's how they break down toms, family groups and hens with no poults, until winter witch can be a hogepog then next spring breeding congregated with loners scattered throughout then back in like groups again!.I would have run off the yote and eat his turkey for him! If they had no hens last spring there wasn't too many around or they would have come too them!
