Costco give their program a look! Rebate plus the lower interest rates when most dealers offer you one or the other only!

I usually wait until early the following year to buy the previous year's model. Selection can be somewhat limited but dealers are ready to have them gone and rebates are in full effect.
I bought my 2008 Tundra in early March of 2009. List was $34,400.00, I paid $24,800.00. $4,000.00 was a national rebate and another $1,500.00 was a regional discount. The rest was haggling.
By contrast, I had to buy my wife a new car a few months ago after hers was totaled in an accident. No leftovers that time of year. I didn't pay sticker ,nobody does, but I didn't get anywhere near the deal I could have if I could have waited until after the new year.
Eh...wot?

I just bought a new truck at the end of September. I have been looking since March. The best deal I had on paper was the end of July. I wound up paying about $500 more in September for a 2018 Chevy.
