Watching an American experiance episode now. I just gotta share how much I enjoy what PBS puts into their shows about history. The research and info they can fit into a documentary is outstanding.

My all out favorite show is "American experiance". I only wish they were able to put out 10x more episodes.

The only American Experience episodes I saw were the one on WWI and I agree they were extremely well done. Amazing how different the world was then, and how much of it we tend to take for granted.

I'm with you on the PBS docs and it's other programs. I think its some of the best programming on TV imo. So much crap that rots your brain these days... this channel stimulates and sharpens it instead.

Have to agree with you g smith, that Leftism is pretty strong at times... course the Lefts seem to have their filthy hands into everything these days, but I still try to see the good anyhow!

they strongly lean left and insert homosexuality into most of their shows - just another tactic of Satan

I find it interesting that some here feel there are few shows from the major networks that utilize homosexuality as a significant portion of their programming.
We have become members of PBS and watch many of their programs and yes even their leftist news which if you read the reviews covered by many news critics and reviewers they are not nearly as far left as many think. They cover and discuss many sensitive and cultural issues and in my mind do so much better than many other media outlets do.

Believe it or not I actually donated a few bucks to them in the past ,after their coverage of the last presidential election I deeply regretted doing so .I see absolutely no reason to change my mind . Do as you will it is a free country . Tally Ho smith

PBS will never see a penny donated directly from me or my family! Left leaning garbage IMO!

I watch PBS more than any other local channels. I also watch BBC America and the PBS Newshour, which are unashamedly tools of the left. I don't think PBS should get any public funding until they have unbiased news. judy woodruff belongs in prison for betraying the American public. she is the most dishonest newperson I have ever seen.

They are definitely left but considering the other options from the old big 3 they are the centrist position these days.

You most really hate the single sided "news:D" that fox pollutes American with 24 hours a day, Keith. They are far worse than PBS and every bit as bad as MSNBC. Those two(fox & masnbc)should have to put a disclaimer after every commercial stating that they are strickly an opinion outlet with an agenda aimed at pushing the position of the party they favor.

PBS and NPR do lean to the left, but they give both sides of nearly every story they cover. It may bother those who only want to hear things they have allowed themselves to be trained they should believe by other news outlets.

I think a lot of Americans are actually afraid to hear both sides of anything.

Only an someone from the extreme right or left would not be able to see the bias of fox and msnbc. Both should have to announce that they do not give unbiased information and their focus is party promotion.

Fox does, they call them pundints or hosts. You don't see Hannity or any of them calling themselfs "news anchors" like the other channels.
I agree with Lugnut. Only Koolaid drinkers argue otherwise.

EVERYTHNG on fox"NEWS" laugh is slanted hard to the right. IF you can't see it, watch msnbc and everything you can say about the folks there can be said abou the people at fox, including what is supposed to be news.

I doubt the far left can see anything wrong with msnbc. When it's pointed out to them, they sound just like you worshippers of foxnews when the obvious bias is point out to you.

Hopefully enough see the foolishness of relying on any single source for their information that these two sources will not have much of an effect on elections.

Jane Curtin was one of my favorite news anchors.
