My wife just walked into the hitch on my truck and is howling about it. A while back there was a funny post about a woman that did this while a guy was sitting in his truck. I have tried searching for it with no luck. Really want to show it to her. Any help would be apprrciated.

I stopped for a red light, and babbling on her phone, she rear ended me, and put a perfect puncture wound into her plastic bumper on her minivan with my hitch post.lol She gets out, and I explained to her she did no damage to my truck, but she will have to explain the bumper part to her hubby,lol
And I drove off.

This is no laughing matter. Last March a good friend of mine walked into the trailer hitch of his own truck. He fell and broke his right upper arm and a bone in his right foot. At the time he was carrying my $3400 custom flintlock rifle which went clattering to the pavement, thankfully in its case and amazingly was unhurt. My buddy was obviously not so lucky. Now, 7 months later, he is close to being back to his old self.

I have a tri-ball 1 7/8 , 2 , 2 5/16 on my truck, they whack them selves good , not sure why they are walking so close , thats just a good way to walk into a trailer hitch

I work at the end of a dead end , the company parking lot is the end of the road , but people drive past 4 signs that say dead end get all the way to the end of the back parking lot then have to try and turn around , had a guy doing a 20 point turn back up go forward back up go forward , every time he hit the ball on my van. he was gone before I could get out of the building and go yell at him.

Few years back, I had a pop-up camper in the back of my truck. My boat was a fairly small john. (14'x54") By the time I saw the boat in the mirrors, I had lost it backing up. Soooo I made a hitch for the front bumper out of a 5x5x3/8 angle 5" long & bolted it to the bumper. NO BODY expects to have a SOLID chunk of steel on the front bumper!!! A few people smacked it more than once in a weekend! (not me, once was enough for a lifetime) LOL

I see nothing wrong with leaving it in all the time. Don't need to remember it, can always tow something last minute, keeps Prius drivers from riding me arse, and it's a good little extra bumper sometimes when backing straight up. I'd rather bump my hitch than my rear end. Besides, mine is rusted in anyway

Can't imagine taking a hitch off, Bob, use a grinder or a torch? Do that every day?

The special place should be reserved for people that don't look where they walk. Those are the same ones that step in dog scat and track it in.

Didn't really get injured but it was pretty darn funny.
Not so funny when ya' fall onto the pavement or your shin swells up like there's a baseball under your skin.

Was the truck parked between the kitchen and the snow blower? If not, she had it coming...

My shins have evolved to look like a triceratops head after all the hitch mauling they've done over the years. My dad used to say that it's only funny when it's somebody else doin the hitch hobble..
