17 and a mink yesterday and 20 today yeah ice has been getting thicker last few days but i have a chainsaw for that haha

need to do some more looking around out west see what else i can find out there hope i can find a few off the road would be handy

only 10 had a break in the rain just before dark checked what i could melted pretty good around some huts had to pull them water on the ice up side is i didnt have to cut any of my holes back open

i hope to boco!

Yes CableAble I was going to try and go into two very small sloughs with a couple houses each. No go, not enough ice. These two are newer ones due to higher water and still enough water for the rats but a lot of vegetation and thus ice is thin. Visited a fairly large marsh today that is part of a river system and the water is mostly open. It will take some really cold weather to get enough ice out there. Lot of current yet too as water levels are still well above normal for this time of year.

17 more rats today didnt check any yesterday so much for nice clear ice oh well! yeah it grew well enough for me overnight good inch and a half of snow ice where it was open thusday when i was out haha just enough sleeved one hut today standing in water oh well!

oh also got a pretty good coyote its no fox but ill take it haha

nice otter fishdog!

Ya that snow following the rain really sucked for our ice conditions. During that rain it was like looking through a window at the world below. The only constant in the marsh is change. It will shine again.

yeah didnt realize it at the time haha would have been cool a little closer and coyote more at the bottom with the way that snow was to oh well haha

haha well ive been more like if ya took the things batteries out the last few days that snow really has me down havent checked a rat trap since monday i dont like it but at the same time im glad so i can get more snares out oh well if i was smart id pull the marshes that are stand alone and just snare as much as i can probably should do that actually hmmm haha

anyway this was monday "last year" 11 rats and my specialty public land ditch fox haha
