Looks like a very early Newhouse #14 with forged springs. I am jealous! I would sure like to see a closeup picture of the teeth on the underside of the jaws.... Dale

The first model deer traps had a bigger gapped jaw from what I've seen. Second models have machine springs atleast all the ones I've seen.
