Need your recommendations. I haven't put up fur in probably 15 years. I have a gift card to Minnesota trapline and am planning on getting a dvd to help me re-learn/freshen me back up. I am leaning toward Kyle kaatz "in the fur shed".

Am mostly going to be trapping coyotes but will be putting up coons that I catch along the way. Will catch a few beaver, rats, and mink as well.

Point me in the right direction, I'm all ears.

Thanks

Do yourself a favor, spend your gift certificate on traps at MTP, and find the NAFA fur handling DVD from Wisconsin Trappers Association. It has a DVD that covers every furbearer. It is the best one I have watched, and I have seen quite a few. It has a blue cover on the DVD. Sometimes it is difficult to find, but I’m sure if you post an ad on the trap shed, somebody will have a copy they will part with.

That's good advice. These NAFA CDs are top of the line others don't compare.

Nope. DVDs and videos are not allowed on the Trap Shed. See the rules at the top of thatnforum.

I agree 100% with the NAFA furbhandling DVD.

My 12 year old could put up fur with this DVD. It shows you everything you need to know.

X2 I saw him do a coon at NY State convention and I ordered both his coon and coyote videos. Well worth the money.

There are so many quality videos on YouTube now I would spend that money on something else trapping related. At the same time there are some real lousy ones too. The coon creek fur handling mentioned earlier is real good.
